Gemini Division Files NewsNEWS
Gemini Division Files administrators TimTodd and RangerSergeant [Doug Heidland] would like to thank and give a lot of love back to little love to the folks over at ARGNet, Despoiler, and UnFiction for including us in their interview of Gemini Division executive producer and series creator Brent Friedman. Instead of transcripting we’d like to strongly invite everyone to hope over to ARGnet and listen to the entire interview.

On a side note, hearing Mr. Friedman say, “Speaking as objectively as possible, the Gemini Division Files site is probably your best first place to go because the fans on that site have gone in to in depth examination of details “  We are honored to have the creator of Gemini Division pass on that type of praise and thank you, the other fans, for helping our site receive such favorable feedback.  We wouldn’t be here without all of you.

Both Tim and I will be posting new articles on Prime Time for Change this week with mine focusing on Part II, The Successes of Gemini Division.

Only fourteen more episodes in the series for the NBC US release and we are looking forward to the SPTI international release so that you international fans can join in on the fun.

Retraction for supposition…

Gemini Division Files NewsAs you can see from section below some items were removed.

For long time AW [Afterworld] fans it’s no secret that the Electric Farm Entertainment production team isn’t shy about directly contacting fans.  Over 2007 and early 2008 members of EFE have provided a great amount of “fan love” at our sister-site Afterworld Theories
While checking my email late last night I found that Brent Friedman [Da All-Father!] had sent a request to have us remove the post below as it contained erroneous information.  In my understanding the post by NBC was a test that wasn’t supposed to be live released for public view.  Evidently the folks over at NBC forgot that spiders search where we see not, so Google archived a page with no direct public URL…which turned up as a Google archive page when I searched for new GD info a few weeks back.

Opps!

I can confirm, based on the email from Mr. Friedman, that the name Sara is not associated with Rosario Dawson’s character, and there is no microchip ring, or  any of the other drivel that was in the archived page.  In fact, nothing on the page is correct except the 50-ish episodes number.

I’d like to thank Brent and the EFE team as a whole for the email and [what appears to be] continued direct involvement with fans.  I’d like to beat someone over at NBC since the post below is being posted all over the intraweb.  [Not that we’re not flattered by both the visits and reposts]

Before anyone asks, no, I don’t know anything else; no new synopsis was provided.

Still, the fact that Da All-Father emailed me personally means that something is in the works for GD…so we should be seeing a something soon.

We look forward to hearing your comments in our forums!

Gemini Division Files NewsNBC Announces Gemini Division!
[The original post was edited on 06.10.08 per the request of Electric Farms, see the post for 06.11.08 for clarification]

Imagine my surprise as I stumbled upon Gemini Division while surfing around the 2008-2009 Primetime section of the NBC Website.

While there are still a limited number of “known” sources for valid information on the new series staring Rosario Dawson & Justin Hartley it appears official that NBC has partnered with Electric Farms for Gemini Division. As I type this NBC has removed the listing for Gemini and it’s possible it was posted accidentally as a test: [Google  archive link removed 6/10/08] :

For those of you who unable to link I have replicated the NBC page content for you below:

______________________________________

Gemini Division Files News50 four-minute webisodes,

Summer ‘08

[Incorrect series synopsis removed 06.10.08]

From the producers of the highly-acclaimed Afterworld online series, Gemini Division will engage viewers with a dramatic story with a dash of scifi, as well as a completely immersive and interactive online world filled with bonus content and new mysteries to unravel.
ONLINE FEATURES

[Removed 06.10.08]
______________________________________

Online Features?! Cool….though I hope not as hokey as the Linderman Casino website for Heroes. All props to the Heroes team for their viral and reality websites but the Casino site was a pain to figure out if you are unable to spend hours online playing clues. It was cool to receive the voicemail from Nathan Patrelli during his 2007 campain and the Primatech Paper website did have some good ’secret’ areas. I have hope that the reality sites associated with GD will be cool and I am curious to see what this secret Gemini Database is all about.

Based on the above we can conclude that it will be 50 webisodes so that contraversy can be put to rest. If the image above is really a shot from the show then [Removed 06.10.08]

The quest for new information about the series continues and as it’s found it will be posted.

We look forward to hearing your comments in our forums!

Gemini Division Files News
Welcome to Gemini Division Files; your authoritative source for the Gemini Division series.

While little is known about this series as of this posting here is what we have been able to determine from the Hollywood trade papers:

Gemini Division is a science fiction / horror series produced by Electric Farm Entertainment and builds on the success of EFE’s previous series Afterworld. Electric Farm (henceforth called EFE for space sake) led by Stan Rogow, Jeff Sagnasky, and Brent Friedman is pioneering the multi-platform project and has just concluded their first successful season for Afterworld which was featured on mobile, cable television, and the web. EFE will also be utilizing their unique method of a multi-platform release and Gemini, like Afterworld, will also feature a unique mix of live action and animation.

On February 11, 2008 Perspective Studios announced that it has partnered with Electric Farms to create the highly stylized look of the series. If you’ve gamed you should already recognize Perspective as a leader in the gaming animation world [GTA IV].

Technical partnerships aside, let’s talk a bit about talent.Rosario Dawson, first voicing the character of NYPD Officer Delondre Baines for Afterworld, has signed on to act and produce for Gemini Division. While there is some contradiction in the information available from sources such as Filmstalker, Mania, and The Hollywood Reporter all agree that Rosario will lead the cast as well as produce.Dawson is no stranger to science fiction having created the Occult Crimes Task Force and having been involved in a plethora of sci-fi projects.

Dawson will star as an undercover New York police Detective that, while investigating the murder of her fiancé, discovers a global conspiracy involving the creation of simulated-humanoid life forms that have assimilated with the unsuspecting public. Also confirmed for the cast is Justin Hartley, best known as The Green Arrow on Smallville, though that’s all we know as of this writing.

The number of episodes is also currently being debated with the Hollywood Reporter stating 100 and other news sources reporting as few as 25.Based on our experience with Afterworld we are forecasting approx. 50-ish.

At least two viral videos have been released and if this EFE Series follows the last we can expect to see some alternate reality websites in conjunction with the series. You can learn more about the virals in the forum…

We look forward to hearing your comments in our forums!
