I love my BlackBerry.
My techno-ninja skills are enhanced by the ability to manage my business from anywhere on the planet (covered by AT&T) and communicate real time to ensure that the projects that I manage are all five by.
I HATE my BlackBerry because occasionally I receive communications that cause me to mentally route everything else in the place where that second sock goes when a pair is washed. [On a side note, should any of you quantum mechanics fanatics develop a workable theory on breaching that dimension you’ll make a mint on recovered socks]
On the commute home this evening I pulled off to partake of the yummy goodness that is the vente-breve-extra-caramel-caramel macchiato when my BlackBerry announced a new email arrival. Still in the driver’s seat I opened the inbox and saw that I received an email titled “GD info” from the same source who has been posting the ‘on-set’ photos in the forums
I popped the email open, started reading, and promptly forgot about $4.20 worth of caramel happiness…
Ok folks, here are the goodies straight from our behind the scenes source at Electric Farm Entertainment as paraphrased by your’s truly: any errors are all mine.
What’s is about?
Gemini Division features NYPD undercover Detective Anna Diaz [Rosario Dawson] as a street wise and tough-as-nails New York cop forced to live dual lives. Diaz’s deep undercover persona drives her to keep people at a distance as a blown cover would mean death.
Enter Nick Korda [Justin Hartley]: After secreting herself away for so long, Diaz sees Korda as almost too good to be true. Anna finds a security in Nick she didn’t believe possible, allowing her to lower her defenses and be herself. Though she has questions about Nick’s life, after only a few months the couple travels to romantic Paris and get engaged.
But, before her questions and his proposal are answered, Nick is murdered…
Diaz vows to bring his murderers to justice and in doing so discovers the truth about Korda and a vast global conspiracy. Black bag genetic experiments, covert military operations, a mysterious organization called Gemini Division, and simulated humanoid life forms…Detective Anna Diaz will have to draw upon all her experience to find the truth…and survive.
Where can I see it?
I don’t know…yet! Both NBC Universal and Sony Television Pictures International have partnered with Electric Farm Entertainment so you can expect to be learning more about the series distribution from ‘official’ sources soon. As mentioned below NBC did have GD listed in their website’s Fall 2008 line up briefly.
When can I see it?
Again, don’t know yet: sources say either late August or Early September…but I haven’t had a reliable enough verification about that to post yet.
And finally,
Who is involved?
As we all know, Electric Farm Entertainment, already known for the Webby-nominated e-series “Afterworld”, is the creative force behind GD with distribution behind managed by NBC Universal and Sony Television Pictures International.
Here is where things get good: We have finally have cast & crew names!
I have to admit that I as went over the list my enthusiasm for this series grew exponentially. Not only are the majority of the cast well known, most are veterans of the sci-fi genre with some being well experienced character actors that fans will be surprised to see in an e-series. Electric Farm is once again leading the bleeding edge in this arena, especially on the crew side.
Are you a fan of 24, Angel, Bones, Buffy, Jericho, Lost, Numbers, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and on ad naseum….don’t be surprised if you see some familiar folks in the cast list. After linking them through IMDB I am already on the edge of my seat for G-D Episode One.
Instead of listing the cast and crew here I’ve added a new tab above. Each member of the cast/crew (where available) is linked directly to their IMDB resume. You’ll be pleased and surprised…if your not go back to your Hello Kitty’s Adventure Land DVDs.
We look forward to hearing your comments in our forums!
